My Vision as a Dermatologist
Since I began my training as a dermatologist, I have understood Dermatology as a specialty that goes beyond treating skin diseases. My goal is to offer personalized care, grounded in scientific evidence and centered on the person, understanding that skin health is part of overall physical and emotional wellbeing.
I have focused my clinical practice primarily on areas such as hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), hair loss, melasma, moles and melanoma, acne, and rosacea. These conditions not only affect the skin but often have a significant impact on quality of life and self-esteem, which is why I believe it's essential to offer a comprehensive approach tailored to each patient's needs.
My Philosophy
My greatest interest is accompanying people in caring for their skin, whether healthy or affected by disease, within the context of a healthy lifestyle. I am convinced that diet, rest, physical activity, stress management, and emotional wellbeing all play an essential role in both dermatological and overall health.
This is why I practice at Clínica Pausa, Salud, in Valencia, a space where we share the same care philosophy: looking after people from an integrative, close, and respectful perspective, always placing the patient at the center of every decision.
My Practice
In my practice you will find a safe, respectful, and judgment-free space where everyone is welcome. I believe in medicine that listens — that understands every story is different and adapts diagnosis and treatment to each patient's circumstances, needs, identity, and goals.
I also see patients in Spanish, English, and Valencian, allowing me to fluently care for both international and local patients and offer clear, close communication throughout the entire care process.

About Your Skin
Rosacea
Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory condition that mainly affects the face, causing persistent redness, visible blood vessels and, at times, bumps or pustules. It usually appears in adulthood and worsens with sun, heat, alcohol or stress. Although it has no definitive cure, topical, oral and laser treatments are available that effectively control flare-ups and noticeably improve the skin's appearance. Early diagnosis helps prevent its progression.
Hyperhidrosis
Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating that goes beyond the body's real cooling needs, usually affecting the hands, feet, armpits or face. It considerably affects the social and working life of those who experience it. Its causes can be primary, with no apparent reason, or secondary to other conditions. Multiple treatment options exist, from specific antiperspirants to botulinum toxin or microwave treatments, tailored to each case and degree of severity.
Acne
Acne is a skin condition that affects the pilosebaceous follicles, causing pimples, blackheads, cysts and, at times, scarring. It is more common during adolescence, although it can also appear in adulthood due to hormonal, genetic or lifestyle factors. Treatment must be tailored to the type and severity, combining topical care, oral treatment or specific procedures, always with the goal of preventing permanent scarring.
Melasma
Melasma is a pigmentation disorder that produces dark patches, usually on the face, more common in women and related to sun exposure, hormonal changes or pregnancy. It follows a chronic course and tends to reappear if the skin is not properly protected. Treatment combines strict sun protection, topical depigmenting agents and, in some cases, procedures such as peels or laser, always under medical supervision to avoid worsening the condition.
Alopecia
Alopecia is hair loss, whether localized or generalized, which can have a genetic, hormonal or autoimmune origin, or be associated with other conditions or situations of stress. There are different types, such as androgenetic, areata or scarring alopecia, each requiring a different approach. Early diagnosis is essential, since many current treatments — topical, oral or procedure-based — are more effective the sooner they are started.
Nevus
A nevus, commonly known as a mole, is a benign buildup of pigment cells in the skin. Most people develop several throughout their life, and in general they pose no risk. However, it's important to keep an eye on their shape, color, size and evolution, since certain changes can signal the need for a dermatological check-up. Dermoscopy allows these lesions to be assessed with precision and helps decide whether follow-up or removal is required.
Skin Cancer
Skin cancer is the abnormal, uncontrolled growth of skin cells, mainly driven by cumulative sun exposure over the years. There are different types, such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma, the latter being the most aggressive if not detected in time. Regular skin check-ups and sun protection are key to prevention, and early diagnosis greatly improves the prognosis and treatment options.
Scabies
Scabies is a skin infestation caused by a microscopic mite that spreads through direct, prolonged skin contact. It causes intense itching, especially at night, along with small lesions in areas such as the webs of the fingers, wrists or body folds. It is highly contagious, so treatment must also be extended to household members. With appropriate treatment, complete recovery is achieved within a few weeks.
Healthy Skin
Maintaining healthy skin means caring for its natural balance through proper cleansing, daily hydration and consistent sun protection, while avoiding harmful habits such as smoking or unprotected sun exposure. Healthy skin not only looks better, but also properly performs its role as a protective barrier. Regular dermatological check-ups help detect any changes early and maintain this balance over time.
